Thus, this work aims to characterize the species composing the zooplanktonic communities present on the continental shelf of Maranhão. Ninety-six taxa distributed among the Radiolaria, Myozoa, Foraminifera, Cnidaria, Mollusca, Annelida, Arthropoda, Bryozoa, Chaetognatha, Echinodermata, Chordata, and other groups, were recorded. Abstract
The equatorial Atlantic is characterized by its high abundance of zooplankton.
