The pharmacological studies showed that Fagopyrum esculentum possessed antioxidant, antiinflammatory, cardiovascular, hypolipidemic, antigenotoxic, antidiabetic, reno-protective, anticancer, antimicrobial, wound healing, antistress, protected memory impairment and photoprotective effects. Abstract

Fagopyrum esculentum contained alkaloids, amino acids, anthraquinones, carbohydrates, flavonoids, phlobatannins and tannins.
