EVENT SEBAGAI SARANA MEMPERERAT SOLIDARITAS KELOMPOK (STUDI DESKRIPTIF KUALITATIF PADA KOMUNITAS BYMAX BANYUASIN)

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to find out how event events can strengthen solidarityamong BYMAX Banyuasin Community members. The research method used is qualitative with adescriptive approach to interview, observation, documentation. The theory used in this study is theTheory of Social Relations. The subjects of the study were four members of Bymax Banyuasin, oneinformant, the general chairman, Vicky Mahendra, the second informant, the vice chairman, arifBudiman, the third informant, Ricky P.U, the secretary. The four informants, Erawadi's advisors,said that the location of the research was conducted at BYMAX Banyuasin Basecamp, which islocated at Jl. Mulya Agung is a gathering place for the BYMAX Banyuasin community. The resultsof this study show that social service activities were held because of the rampant Covid-19 pandemicin Indonesia. The lack of awareness of the Banyuasin community to use masks when traveling hasmade BYMAX Banyuasin Community members pioneer the movement to distribute street masks. Themembers raise funds from various circles. Funds or donations are channeled to buy masks andhandsanitizers and are distributed to the streets. several social service activities carried out by theBYMAX Banyuasin community. With this activity the solidarity of the community is alsostrengthened plus a sense of concern for the community that grows from the self-awareness of itsmembers to help society
