Abstract

The effective permittivity of a planar dielectric layer with cylindrical holes arranged in a hexagonal lattice is determined by a hybrid projective method with using the concept of a layer of half-wavelength thickness. Some results obtained for different values of the layer material permittivity, hole spacing, hole diameter, angle of incidence of the wave and polarization of the latter are presented.
