Abstract
Hendra virus infection emerging in Australia in the 1990s was caused by Hendra virus,whice belongs to the genus Henipavirus of the family Paramyxoviridae. Hendra virus has a broad species tropism and can cause disease with high mortality in both animal and human hosts, and could be used as anagent of bioterrorism,so it attracted much attention. This review introduces the epidemic history, aetiology, epidemiologic feature,clinical manifestation,prevention and control.
