Abstract
The paper focuses on the comparative analysis of the performance results indicators in weightlifters aged 9-12. The comparative statistical analysis used the parametric method Paired Comparison for Means between the performance results in National Championships 1, n=73 athletes and National Championships 2, Botoșani, n=78 athletes in the classification categories Junior III. The study results highlight the following: girls - body weight increase by 1.13 kg, better performances in snatch style by 4.82 kg and significant differences at p 0.05. Boys: body weight decreases by 0.14 kg and all performance indicators decrease by 2.4 kg in snatch style, by 4.0 kg in clean and jerk and by 6.4 kg in total performances; all the analyzed cases have insignificant differences at p>0.05. We conclude that the performances of the junior female weightlifters aged 9-12 years are better compared to boys’ performances.
