Abstract

In this paper, the effect of the alternator on CO2 emissions caused by the vehicle is explained and the factors affecting the efficiency of the alternator are described. Detailed information about the measurement and standard of alternator efficiency was given and details of the test bench were shared. There are 2 different rectifier topologies that can be integrated into the alternator and the effect of these rectifier circuits on the efficiency of the alternator is confirmed by simulation.
