A simple set of tools allows participants to engage in this type of sport almost all year-round, which doesn’t require any special sport facilities. This article also presents chronological data on organizational and managerial activities to promote mas-wrestling in the Russian Federation and at the international level, which is characterized by the organization of All-Russian and international Federations, holding of Russian, European, Asian and World Championships. The analysis of the scientific research carried out on the basis of which scientific works on the national sport of mas-wrestling are published is reflected.
