Abstract

Value orientation and wider awareness for the betterment of humanity were basic principles of journalism and media for Mahatma Gandhi. These principles provide strength to Indian democracy through modern media or fourth estate. The modern satellite and telecommunication have increased the speed of media activities, communication and dissemination of information. Hence, modern media has become more impact creating than ever earlier.
