Implementation of established online patient engagement approaches are recommended.\n\n\nSUMMARY\nStudies to date may underestimate the potential of digital health interventions in sexual health and cancer due to poor patient engagement. Abstract

PURPOSE OF REVIEW Recent advances in digital healthcare, combined with the increasing appreciation for the need for sexual health programming in cancer, has established a zeitgeist for further development of digital health interventions for sexual health in cancer. Developers of digital health interventions should consider two equally important factors: efficacy of the intervention, and participant engagement. This review describes the status of digital health interventions in sexual health within the oncology setting.
