Abstract

Due to the multipath and NLOS conditions, the TOA ranging error based on UWB (ultra-wide bandwidth), the first path energy and the total energy received are different. In this paper, we study the difference of the TOA ranging error, the first path energy and the total energy received in different environments, finding that the TOA ranging error is smaller than that in indoor scenario due to the metal and breach in indoor environment and with the human body closer to the transmitter node, the interference to the signal is more severe.
