Abstract
The article considers the possibility of using artificial societies as special cases of computer agent models for the purpose of studying intellectual capital. Three models that fall under the category of "artificial society" were analyzed: the Sugarscape model, the individual-oriented model for the emergence of despotic and egalitarian societies, and the social network model. Each of the studied models was complicated taking into account the introduction/presence of the category of intellectual capital, as a result of which new non-trivial conclusions were obtained. In general, the assumption about the possibility of using the presented models for the purpose of studying and researching intellectual capital was confirmed in the course of the work.
期刊介绍:
The Journal of Artificial Societies and Social Simulation is an interdisciplinary journal for the exploration and understanding of social processes by means of computer simulation. Since its first issue in 1998, it has been a world-wide leading reference for readers interested in social simulation and the application of computer simulation in the social sciences. Original research papers and critical reviews on all aspects of social simulation and agent societies that fall within the journal"s objective to further the exploration and understanding of social processes by means of computer simulation are welcome.
