The rat model of DM was obtained by injection of streptozotocin with different dosage for 5 days sequentially then injected by Pg on distobuccal and distopalatal sulcus of the maxillary first molars for 19 days with interval 3 days. The total leukocytes were calculated manually by Neubauer improved cell counting chamber. The results demonstrated that rat model of DM which injected by Pg has the lowest total leukocytes count. Abstract

Diabetes mellitus (DM) is a metabolic disorder characterized by hyperglycemia and become the third cause of death in Indonesia. The most common oral complications occured in DM is periodontitis. Porphyromonas gingivalis (Pg) is the main etiology of periodontitis, one of periodonthopathogen relate to systemic disease. 牙龈卟啉单胞菌感染对糖尿病模型大鼠白细胞计数的影响
糖尿病(DM)是一种以高血糖为特征的代谢性疾病,已成为印度尼西亚第三大死亡原因。糖尿病最常见的口腔并发症是牙周炎。牙龈卟啉单胞菌(Pg)是牙周炎的主要病因,是与全身疾病相关的牙周病原体之一。然而这一理论仍有争议,糖尿病和牙周炎有相同的发病机制,因此都是细胞变化。预测Pg会影响DM大鼠总白细胞计数。本研究旨在确定Pg感染对DM模型大鼠总白细胞计数的影响。用不同剂量的链脲佐菌素连续注射5 d,再用Pg在上颌第一磨牙的颊部和背腭沟注射,连续19 d,间隔3 d,建立DM大鼠模型。用Neubauer改良细胞计数室人工计算白细胞总数。结果表明,Pg注射DM模型大鼠白细胞总数最低。因此,Pg感染使DM大鼠模型总白细胞素降低。
