Abstract

Seed tubers of potato (Solanum tuberosum) plants were grown in five locations in Japan: Hokkaido, Yamagata, Ibaraki, Hiroshima, and Nagasaki. One hundred colonies of pink-pigmented facultative methylotrophs (PPFMs) were isolated from potato leaves at flowering time.
