Abstract
Fillers for PVC compounds have been made from coal gangue. FT-IR studies show that it contains aromatic components with phenolic groups. Application of gangue as a filler in rigid PVC compounds gives rise to materials of good mechanical properties, high heating and chemical resistance, and lower cost.
