The study of the genesis of criminal law norms on responsibility for crimes against women also made it possible to trace changes in the law concerning such objects of criminal law protection as life, health, gender freedom and gender integrity, honor, and dignity of a woman, the interests of the family and its members. The paper makes some comparisons with the legislation of foreign countries of criminal liability for crimes against women and presents practical recommendations for improving the criminal legislation of Uzbekistan.
