Abstract
A W-band traveling-wave tube (TWT) by utilizing the folded waveguide slow wave structure (FWSWS) combined with the pencil beam is designed to develop the high power millimeter-wave radiation source. The particle-in-cell (PIC) simulation results show that this TWT can produce over 158W output power in the range from 90GHz to 97GHz. The maximum output power of the TWT can reach 293W at the typical frequency of 94GHz, which corresponds to a gain of 37.68dB and an interaction efficiency of 8.15%.
