The experiments involve a progression of structural configurations ranging from relatively simple one and two dimensional strctures to a large aperture, multi-segment optical structure. The experiments have been designed to evaluate a variety of control design methods including the Maximum Entropy/Optimal Projection method. Abstract
Based on a recent survey of Large Space System concepts and the identified characteristics of ground-based experiments needed to demonstrate capability for future systems, a sequence of vibration control experiments have been designed and are being performed at Harris Corporation.
