Rats body weights, blood sugar levels, glucose 6 phosphate dehydrogenase, key liver enzymes, enzymatic antioxidant and liver tissue histology were examined using standard procedures and the results demonstrated that, administration of leaf extract of M.charantia, B.diffusa and particularly co-administration of M.charantia+B.diffusa significantly p<0.05 aided weight reduction, lowered blood sugar levels, enhanced the levels of liver enzymes and antioxidant parameters. Abstract

The aim of this study is to evaluate the co-administration of aqueous leaf extracts of Momordica charantia and Boerhaavia diffusa on Streptozotocin induced Diabetes in Male Wistar Rats. A total of 36 male wistar rats between the weights of 100-120g were divided into six (6) groups (n=6), five (5) groups received I.P. 苦瓜、白花布尔哈维亚及共同治疗链脲佐菌素诱导的雄性Wistar大鼠糖尿病的疗效评价
本研究旨在探讨苦瓜叶和白花蒿叶水提液联合给药对链脲佐菌素诱导的雄性Wistar大鼠糖尿病的影响。选取体重100 ~ 120g的雄性wistar大鼠36只,随机分为6组(n=6),其中5组给予单剂量链脲佐菌素(60mg/kg),其余组为正常对照组。采用标准方法测定大鼠体重、血糖水平、葡萄糖6磷酸脱氢酶、关键肝酶、酶抗氧化剂和肝组织组织学,结果表明,白花金针叶提取物和白花金针叶提取物给药,特别是白花金针叶提取物和白花金针叶提取物与白花金针叶提取物联合给药对小鼠肝组织的影响显著。白花有助于减轻体重,降低血糖水平,提高肝酶水平和抗氧化指标,显著p<0.05。因此,沙兰芽胞杆菌和弥散芽胞杆菌是治疗糖尿病及其相关并发症的良好候选药物。
