Matrix-assisted laser desorption ionization (MALDI) time-of-flight (TOF) mass spectrometry (MS) is attracting increasing attention as a suitable analytical technique for ligand identification owing to its high sensitivity and capacity for discrimination, its fast analysis and its ease of automation.
