By analysing and generalizing some of the relevant english literature of recent years, This article describes the development of a variety of new infrared detectors domestic and abroad, including Pb-salt array detector -. double-color/multicolor MCT (HgCdTe) detector, MCT array detector, planar linear array InGaAs detector and so on. Self-cooled , dark current correction of Pb-salt detectors; The developments of third generation MCT devices in array size -, double-color/multicolor, very long wavelength application of photovoltaic tech-nology , amplifier capability ; The current-voltage measurement of eight element planar linear array InGaAs detector , the difference between a peak response rate obtained through the signah noise, and the corresponding spectra and the theoretical values and etc were analyzed. According to the current development state of infrared detector, we analyze application prospect in railway infrared hotbox detection system.
