Abstract

This contribution aims at presenting the role and origin of the organizational principles of structural brain networks comprising the cortico-cortical connections. The importance of these structural principles will be highlighted by the study of their role in the synchronization phenomena within and between anatomico-functional modules. Additionally, we will show that a synchronization-mediated adaptive dynamics is able to produce networks displaying large modular behavior and scale-free patterns.
