In the present review, we discuss the efforts have been made to summarize different aspects of scientific studies on this medicinal plant. Scientific evidences are available on various medicinal aspects i. e. anti-microbial, anti-diabetic, hepato-protective, anti-inflammatory, anti-carcinogenic, immunomodulatory, nephro-protective, cardio-protective, etc. to name a few. Abstract
Therapeutic properties of Indian Calosanthes plant (Oroxylum indicum L. Kurz) are known for hundreds of years to various civilizations of the world. Therapeutic explorations of medicinal properties of Oroxylum indicum have been taken place mostly after the middle of the 20th century. In the present review, we discuss the efforts have been made to summarize different aspects of scientific studies on this medicinal plant.
