Abstract

SVG is issued by the w3c open Web graphics standards. It is applied widely because of its graphic scalable, small size of storage, interactivity and so on. This article from the spatial data expression and architecture are introduced SVG technology in application of WebGIS. And By using of SuperMap IS.NET6, Liaocheng University campus WebGIS system is designed and implemented based on Ajax and SVG. Finally the author iscussed the possible problems of SVG technology in application of WebGIS in future and Proposed solutions.
