Abstract

Building upon a previous study on the origin of caerle/venirle/entrarle en N‘agrado’-type collocations and their expansion in the late Middle Ages and early Renaissance, we examine the lexicalization and demise of these structures starting in the Golden Age. The loss of this collocational pattern, which has only left behind relics such as caerle en gracia, involved two related changes that are discussed within Traugott and Trousdale’s constructionist diachronic model: the lexical constructionalization and obsolescence of a constructional subschema.

caerle/venirle/entrarle en N ' agrado '类型的建筑和过时
