The article presents a brief historical sketch of developing the method of transosseous compression-distraction osteosynthesis in Kazan school of traumatologists-orthopedists. The historical roots of Kazan school of traumatologists-orthopedists are shown. Succession of traditions in the work of the School founders is marked.
