Abstract

Based on the principles of linear optimal active control,the algorithm of an optimal active control has been developed to command the structure displacement,velocity and acceleration simultaneously,and the revisal Riccati equation has been derived.Moreover,the earthquake response of vibration-absorption megaframe structure has been controlled semi-actively by means of magnetorheological damper.The result seems to indicate that the semi-active control may be more effectively suppress the vibration displacement response of the main frame,and more significantly reduce the vibration acceleration response of the main and the secondary frame.
