Abstract

A comparative analysis of the ponderomotive effect of a plane wave upon thin scattering impedance dipoles is carried out based on the rigorous solution of the electrodynamic problem. A numerical model of the dipole with distributed constant reactive impedance was created. It was established that the impedance dipoles experience less force of wave pressure under the resonant condition, as compared with perfectly conducting dipoles. For the first time, numerical estimates of the ponderomotive effect on impedance dipoles have confirmed that the level of such influence can be controlled by varying the reactive impedance of the dipole scatterer.
