Abstract

The current paper is a sum-up of a modeling & simulation study for a Photovoltaic panel (PV) using Matlab/Simulink. The aim is to define a modeling circuit in order to estimate the electrical behavior of a photovoltaic cell depending on environmental parameters change in term of irradiation & temperature. The modeling of PV array is as a fundamental element for all research and development activity related with PV system. The conclusion is revealing that the solar panel output nature is nonlinear and a nearly constant current up to open circuit voltage and the power has maximum pick with respect to the voltage for particular environmental condition.
