Abstract

Abstact Effective methods for retrieving yam end from a bobbin was before studied, and an intensive turbulent flow along the bobbin surface was proved effective to retrieve the yam end. In this paper, we try to set a cut (a cavity or a slit ) in the suction hood for creating effective turbulent flow. The result shows that the suction hood with a slit (45 degree oblique to the flow direction and 2 mm wide) would be effective to retrieve the yarn end. It will be helpful to solve the actual problem.
