Abstract
This study aims to analyze the effect of training and organizational commitment variables on competencies and their implications for the performance of employees of the Secretariat General of the House of Representatives of the Republic of Indonesia in 2018. The data were collected from the distribution of questionnaires to 125 bureau employees as respondents. The research model developed consisted of 2 independent variables and 1 dependent variable and 1 also intermediary variable (intervention) with 7 hypotheses to be tested.Tests are carried out using SEM (Structural Equation Modeling) through the Analysis of Moment Structures Program (AMOS V.22) with 125 respondents, namely employees of the Secretariat General of the DPR RI Secretariat. The results of this study indicate that the training variable has a significant and positive effect on competence with a CR value of 5.830 > 1.96 and probability values < 0.05, organizational commitment variables do not have a positive and real effect on competencies with a CR value of -1.314 < 1.96 and a probability value of 0.189 > 0.05, the competency variable does not have a positive and significant effect on employee performance with CR value is -5.449 < 1.96 and probability value is 0.000 < 0.05, the training variable has a positive and real effect on employee performance with a CR value of 5.927 > 1.96 and probability values < 0.05, organizational commitment variables have a positive effect and real performance of employees with a CR value of 6.053 > 1.96 and probability values < 0.05, training and competency variables through competence do not have a positive and real effect on employee performance with CR > 1.96 probability values < 0.05 but regression coefficients indirect effects of -1.166 and organizational commitment variables through competency positive and real effect on employee performance with a value of CR > 1.96 and a probability value of < 0.05 and a regression coefficient of positive indirect effect of 0.218.
