Emphasis is placed on the interdisciplinary directions: linguo cognitive, culturological and sociolinguistic, in order to make the most of the opportunities they offer to supplement and deepen the semantic analysis of the studied words and the specifics of their use. The article summarizes the results of a survey conducted both among native speakers and among learners of German as a foreign language in different linguistic and cultural environments, taking into account their reactions based on language sense in the same communicative situation. The analysis unequivocally confirms our understanding that as an integral part of cognition, language reflects the interaction between communicative and socio-cultural factors. Abstract

The focus of the present study is on the lexical units containing the -weise suffixoid, presented in a broader extralinguistic aspect.
