Abstract
The oxy-radical scavenger, 5, 5-dimethyl-1-pyrroline-N-oxide (DMPO), reduced the X-ray-induced mutant spot frequency. The inhibitory effect may be due to the scavenging of oxy-radicals in vivo by DMPO.
