Abstract

A two-level boost converter is presented for wide voltage conversion applications, where the output capacitor of all the stages can be stacked together to share the load voltage. Capacitors have been tapped between the first and second stages to reduce the voltage stresses appearing at capacitors. Interleaved pwm techniques are leveraged to reduce the voltage ripple across the capacitors and the load output, showing a reduction in peak to peak ripple of 25%.
