Then, 5G NTN enhancement technology of 3GPP Release 18 are presented. Finally, the future technological evolution of the integration of NTN and TN was prospected. Abstract

NTN(Non-Terrestrial Network) is an important supplement to terrestrial cellular communication network defined by the 3rd generation partnership project (3GPP), which marks that the application of 5G technology has moved from land communication to space communication. Firstly, the progress and key technologies of 5G NTN standard of 3GPP Release 17 were introduced, including the differences between 5G NTN and 5G TN. Then, 5G NTN enhancement technology of 3GPP Release 18 are presented. Finally, the future technological evolution of the integration of NTN and TN was prospected.
