The parameters taken included the water temperature, transparency, pH, dissolved oxygen, magnesium, and calcium. These properties were analyzed and compared with standard values recommended by bureau of Indian standards and world health organization. Present investigation was undertaken to ascertain the water quality status of Burhi Gandak river at Samastipur town. Abstract
