In this paper, hybrid photovoltaic thermal collectors are used for the cogeneration of electricity and heat. The benefits of these hybrid collectors are multiple. The most important is the gain in space obtained with respect to the photovoltaic modules and flat thermal collectors used separately. The objective of this work is to design an energy system based on hybrid PVT collectors and apply it to a home located in the south of Algeria. Abstract

The housing sector is considered a major consumer of energy. With the development in quantities and qualities, this sector is constantly increasing in energy needs day by day and this demand will increase forever given the global human growth recorded each year. The use of renewables energies is the sustainable solution to the problem of energy supply in the habitation. Energy needs in the home are mainly electricity and thermal energy for heating water and space.
