There are a number of problems when solving problems in which it is necessary to create drawings of realistic physical objects under study, as well as the correct representation of the 2D image format in 3D format. As a result, when mentally projecting a product onto different projection planes, typical errors occur. These errors are associated with human cognitive spatial reasoning abilities, as confirmed and described by experts in this subject area. \nIn the article, in order to solve the indicated problem, it is proposed to create and introduce modern digital technologies of virtual and augmented reality into the educational process. Abstract
The article discusses the issue of increasing the efficiency of the educational process in engineering technical disciplines, in the study of which students acquire professional competencies in the design of industrial products.
