EnglishThis article shows the ritual practices, meanings and memories expressed in the celebration of the Pachallampe in Socoroma. This, in order to identify and understand the rituals and symbolism deployed by stewards and indigenous community members during the sowing ofpotato. espanolEl siguiente articulo evidencia las practicas rituales, significados y memorias expresadas en la fiesta del Pachallampe en Socoroma. Se busca con ello la identificacion y comprension de los ritos y simbolismos desplegados por mayordomos y comuneros indigenas durante la siembra de la papa. Para este efecto se estudia la importancia de la performance, memoria, danza y las dramatizacio-nes, realizando un analisis descriptivo e interpretativo de la fiesta, identificandose los significados, las asociaciones, identidades y apropiaciones culturales de los socoromenos, derivadas de las interacciones hispanoindigenas y de su relacion con las fuerzas antinomicas de su espacio sagrado.
