Abstract

In this paper another two-parameter Poisson-Sujatha distribution by compounding Poisson distribution with another two-parameter Sujatha distribution which includes geometric distribution and Poisson-Sujatha distribution as particular cases, has been proposed. Its moments based statistical constants including coefficient of variation, skewness, kurtosis and index of dispersion have been obtained. Maximum likelihood estimation has been explained for estimating its parameters.
