Abstract

This paper deals with the prediction of the characteristics of the whole discharge (length, current, arc resistance, instantaneous propagation velocity, charge injection, radius of the discharge and the voltage at the head of the discharge channel and the voltage drop within it) propagating over non-uniformly polluted insulators under impulse voltages using a dynamic model.
