Abstract
Recognition of the importance of the psychological factors in the care of patients with diabetes is still in its infancy. We must improve our understanding of the psychosocial factors involved in the development of diabetic foot ulcer, and of the ways in which people’s day-to-day functioning and their quality of life are influenced by foot damage.
