Abstract
Obesity can contribute to the development of other serious conditions such as cardiovascular disease, type 2 diabetes mellitus and some types of cancer. The work aims to assess and analyze the morphological state of the subjects, in order to improve their health by using specific exercises in therapeutic swimming, for 16 weeks. Research involves identifying the body mass index category (BMI) of subjects and determining the level of body composition before and after the therapeutic swimming program. Following the initial tests, only 8 women were selected who met the inclusion criteria and were subsequently subjected to the study. In conclusion, the results show that the body fat indicator decreased significantly between the initial and final testing, the bone density indicator did not show a significant difference, and the indicators of mineralization, muscle mass and physical rating also recorded significant increases in.
