Abstract
Next to Pierre Perraut and Claude Jutra, Gilles Groulx has established himself as a key figure in the contemporary Quebecois cinema. Despite this prominent position, his filmography is rarely examined in its entirety. The aim of this article is to shed some light on the lesser-known parts of his filmography by attaching it to the concept of “film-essay”.
