Abstract
An odontoma, also termed as an odontome is a benign odontogenic tumor of developmental origin. Odontoma is a dental hamartoma. It is composed of normal dental tissue that has grown in an irregular way. The condition is frequently associated with unerupted teeth . It is generally detected through failure of teeth to erupt at the expected time. The management depends upon the early diagnosis, histopathological examination and excision.
