Abstract

Evaluating failure of structural sealant glazing is an important constituent portion of existing glass curtain walls,also,a key item and difficulty part of in-suit testing of existing hidden frame curtain wall.ASTM C 1392-00(2005)suggests a simple means of evaluating the extent of any failure of a structural sealant in an installed structural sealant glazing system.It provides the schematic diagram of field loading device and the suggested procedure for initial testing.Introducing this standard into our nation can assist in our works of evaluating safety of existing glass curtain walls.The paper gives the vesion of the standard in Chinese and interprets it.
