Abstract

The traditional rights to land in the Victoria River District (VRD) and neighbouring areas of the Kimberley Region of Western Australia are the reflection of different traditions of long standing in the VRD and the Kimberleys. It is seen that the migration of people north from the Western Desert increased the link to new areas.
