Abstract

ABSTRACT The authors analyze the case of a preschool-aged child in child-centered play therapy (CCPT) and her parents in parent consultation. The child was referred to the clinic with the problem of constantly sucking her lips. 18 CCPT sessions were conducted with the child, and as a result of observed need, additional parent consultation meetings were held. The progress of the child in the therapeutic process was interpreted based on the CCPT perspective. In addition, the importance of the integrated parent consultation was discussed from a culturally sensitive standpoint.
