Abstract

Aim/Purpose: The paper explores the success of KGB Operation SIG to incite hatred and create chaos against a democracy Background: About 50 years ago, the KGB created the means to create upheaval in the Mid-dle East. This paper explores one such campaign and its successor campaign, revealing some disinformation techniques in use today. Methodology: The paper brings together literature from many fields in its exploration of Op-eration SIG.
