Abstract

RESUMEN La siguiente nota tiene como objetivo informar acerca de la existencia de un sitio emplazado en isla Picton, canal Beagle, provincia de Antartica Chilena, XII region de Magallanes -Chile-, que presenta manifestaciones de arte rupestre asociadas a lentes de conchal de caracter arqueologico. A partir de una breve descripcion de los dos motivos identificados, se enmarca el hallazgo dentro de los estudios existentes de arte rupestre en los canales australes, para de esta forma realizar una aproximacion inicial al tipo de arte rupestre que desarrollaron los grupos canoeros en la zona.
